Supeme Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Scotland

My Dear Companions,
Greetings!

On behalf of the Grand Chapter of United Scottish Royal Arch Freemasonry in India and Ceylon welcome to this webpage.

It is with immense gratitude and humility that I have accepted the esteemed office of Grand Superintendent and the solemn responsibility entrusted to me to lead this Grand Chapter. It is truly an honour and a privilege. I pray that the blessings of the T.G.O.T.U. may guide my endeavours in serving this Grand Chapter with dedication, wisdom and fidelity. Companions, we are aware of the challenges that lie before us and let me put it plainly: there is much to be done.

While the number of our Chapters remains encouraging, our membership strength and attendance tell us a different story. This decline may be attributed to several factors—age, general disinterest, subconscious neglect, distances involved in travelling, the availability of other fraternities, inter-personal relationships, insufficient support and mentoring from our senior members and above all, the need for clear, decisive and purposeful guidance from the helm.

Companions, we must acknowledge the realities before us. The time has come for each one of us to put forth our very best and where necessary, to walk that extra mile. No institution can succeed through the efforts of one individual alone. Lasting success can only come through collective endeavour—the wisdom and guidance of our senior Companions, the wholehearted participation of our members and a strong, effective and responsive leadership.

As we usher in a new era of thought and leadership, one of our foremost priorities must be the future of our fraternity. We must identify, encourage, mentor and promote the younger Companions amongst us. We must give them the opportunities, responsibilities and above all, a sense of belonging and purpose. The strength of our future will depend upon how well we prepare the next generation to carry forward what has been entrusted to us.

I also assure you that we are working closely with each Chapter to understand and resolve its concerns, implement effective policies, strengthen communication and take timely decisions that will further our common resolve. Where change is necessary, we must have the courage to embrace it while protecting and preserving our ancient rituals and traditions. But, this journey cannot belong to the Grand Superintendent or to the Grand Chapter office bearers alone. It belongs to every Companion.

Companions, we have a dream to fulfil and many miles yet to walk. I sincerely hope that every step we take will be matched by yours; that every effort made by the Grand Chapter will be supported by our Daughter Chapters; and that together, shoulder to shoulder, we shall make our fraternity stronger, more vibrant, viable and relevant for generations to come.
Let us therefore move forward with renewed enthusiasm, unity and purpose—respecting the wisdom of our past, addressing the realities of our present and building confidently for our future.

With a heart full of gratitude and humility, I thank each and every one of you for your continued faith, support and companionship.

I look forward to working with you and walking alongside you, as together we strive towards our common objectives and the continued progress of our beloved fraternity.

May our efforts be guided by wisdom, strengthened by unity and crowned with success.

Thank you, Companions.
